Assignment 28A - Your Exit Strategy

Assignment 28A - Your Exit Strategy Identification My exit strategy for my business idea will be to sell it off once it is profitable. I want to make a large return off of my idea. I think there would be potential to sell the idea to individual universities or maybe bring it into a licensing agreement as well. After a while, I do not want this to be my sole profession. Why I have come to this decision because I think it is truly a great idea; however, I am not passionate about this business. I want to work in fashion but at the same time do not want to give up on this idea. Ultimately, I think there is a great potential for it to succeed and become extremely profitable. I would want to retire from this idea and get into an industry with the profits for what I truly love. Influence I think this has influenced my other decisions because I want everything to be fast paced. I want the growth to be large and quick, so for that reason it makes sense that I chose a low price to infi...

Assignment 27 A – Reading Reflection No.3

Assignment 27 A – Reading Reflection No.3 The General Theme or Argument of the Book For this reading reflection, I decided to read  How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big   by Scott Adams . I chose this title because I had read my peers reading reflections for this book and was interested to read it for myself. The general theme of the book is how he learned how to take control of his life and ultimately succeed. He believes that following a system is more beneficial for a person than setting goals. Connection to ENT 3003 In my opinion, this book connected and enhanced what I have been learning in ENT 3003 by really focusing on goal setting. This entire semester we have set goals for our own unique business venture. I believe we have gone about doing so in a systematic way. We have done assignments multiple time, with each time showing improvement.  Design of an Exercise Based on  How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big ...

Assignment 26A – Celebrating Failure

Assignment 26A – Celebrating Failure A Time I Failed This past semester, I most definitely have faced what felt like failure. I have always dreamed of being a merchandise planner and working on the finance side of retail and fashion. I had applied for the Bloomingdales program for merchandise planning, along with many other programs. I was extremely interested in working there and I was immediately rejected and not given a reason as to why. I was heartbroken and felt extremely defeated. What I Learned I learned from this occurrence to not give up and to persevere. Although originally feeling defeated and not good enough, I spoke to my family and friends and they gave me advice. They said you must fail before you succeed and that stuck with me. I continued to apply to many other retailers and all sorts of programs. I spoke with advisors and people in the industry to improve myself. Ultimately, I have succeeded since and have accepted a job with Gap Inc. ...

Assignment 25A – What’s Next?

Assignment 25A – What’s Next? Existing Market Step 1: I think that actually getting the vending machines into the University of Florida’s libraries is what is next for my venture. In addition to just having the common phone and computer chargers, it will be important to eventually include the less common ones as well. Step 2: Customer one was my boyfriend, a senior at the University of Florida. He thought the next step should be to market the idea and get people excited before it even hits the libraries. Customer two is my roommate, a senior at the University of Florida. She thinks it is important to also market the idea, but to create an Instagram and social media campaign to really showcase our innovation. Customer three is my little, a junior at the University of Florida. She thought the next step should be to talk with the board at the University of Florida and pitch my idea to them in a groundbreaking way. Whether that be though diagrams, a presentati...
