Assignment 16A – What’s Your Secret Sauce?

Assignment 16A – What’s Your Secret Sauce?

Five Ways in Which I Think I Have Human Capital That Is Truly Unique
1.     I am extremely good with numbers and math. I can solve many different types of math problems if I sit down and really think about it. I have always done extremely well in math classes throughout school.
2.     I am a perfectionist and do everything until it is perfect in my mind.
3.     I am artistic and creative. I enjoy painting, drawing, and coming up with creative solutions to solve problems.
4.     I am very responsible and determined to succeed. I always get my assignments done ahead of time and always do my best in anything I do.
5.     I am an extrovert. I am very personable and friendly and enjoy being around my friends and family. I can talk to anyone and keep conversation going.

Interview 1 – My Boyfriend
He said that I am very smart and always get an A in every class. I am also caring, kind, positive, and always light up the room.

Interview 2 – My Little
She said that I am always there to talk to her whenever she is upset or just needs to vent. I always cook for her and drive her whenever she needs a ride no matter what time.

Interview 3 – My Roommate
She said that I am always there to say something funny. I always am there to give her advice whenever she needs and that I am a really good baker.

Interview 4 – My Friend
She said that I am really stylish and have great fashion. She loves when I do her makeup and am really talented at doing it and I always give great advice.

Interview 5 – My Friend
He said that I am really intelligent and a hard worker in all the classes that we take together. He also said that I have a high tolerance for many different types of people.

Reflection on Differences
I think there are a lot of similarities and differences between the way I see myself and the way my friends see myself.  A bunch of the interviewees focused on my intelligence overall, whereas I focused on my intelligence for specifically math. I think what caused this difference is that I am more critical on myself and pinpointed where I feel I have the most strength, whereas my friends have a more positive overall characteristic. In addition, I focused on my artistic and creative side, whereas the interviewees focused on my creative problem-solving abilities and my love for doing makeup. Overall, I think the interviewees were correct about me and I think they all said accurate characteristics. If I were to complete this assignment again about myself, I would include my creative skills to include my love for cooking, baking, and makeup.

  1. Hey Jamie! It seems that all of your friends that you interviewed find you very dependable and smart. Obviously very good qualities to have not just as a friend, but also as a future business partner to other people! I also heard that you enjoy baking which I enjoy as well. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that now I have had to stop in order to lose some of the excess weight from all the cookies haha.
