Assignment 20A – Growing Your Social Capital Person 1 – Domain Expert in Industry I interviewed a man that works with my Dad. He supplies the vending machine to his office. Although his vending machine is food and drink, he is a domain expert on vending machines and their success. He was the first person I thought of for the domain expert when I read this assignment. I asked my dad to put us in contact and I called him on the phone. They spoke to me on the phone and he did not want anything in exchange; he was happy to help me with my assignment. Assignment 17A – Elevator Pitch No. 2 The Pitch Reflection and What I Changed After completing the assignment for elevator pitch no. 1, I reviewed my comments to see where I could improve and where I could continue to succeed for future elevator pitches. Overall, people thought my first elevator pitch was a great summary of my product. I hit all of the points in the opportunity and they thought I was very well spoken. I had an overall calm demeanor and was very successful in completing my task in the elevator pitch. Overall, they thought my elevator pitch was done very well. Assignment 18A – Create a Customer Avatar Story My prototypical customers for my computer charger vending machine business are both female and male college age students. They can be ranging in age from 17 to 22 years old, and maybe even older if a graduate student. They are living far away from the comforts of their home and are living in a dorm or apartment. Most do not have cars at school, but some do. Most get around by walking, Ubers, bikes or busses. They have strong personalities and are studious and intelligent. They live in Florida and enjoy being in warm weather. They watch all sorts of TV, but mostly through streaming on Netflix. Imagine the typical college students. To her, when making any purchase, she first cares most about price followed by quality. She does not mind paying a higher price for higher quality. She prefers to go to a store to try out an item before actually purchasing it. In the case of my idea, she is happy with the low price of the rental and quality of the brand name charger.
