Assignment 3A –
Your Entrepreneurship Story
During senior year of high school, I had experience with entrepreneurship.
I was the entrepreneur. I created a company called Kollege Kicks, that designed
hand drawn, customizable Vans sneakers and denim fanny packs. I used paint
markers to write and draw on both products. I also would stud the fanny pack to
give it a little extra design. I created an Instagram account and people were
able to order through there. They could also email me for orders as well. I sold them to my friends and family who were
going to be attending college that next year. People bought them for graduation
presents and college acceptances and they truly were a great gift to receive. I
had a lot of fun making them, since I have always been very creative and artistic.

I enrolled in ENT 3003 because I am extremely interested in entrepreneurship. I think it is awesome when someone is able to create a successful business off an idea that popped into their head. I have always been surrounded by entrepreneurs; both my dad and grandpa are them. Each of them has their own business, my grandpa has his own chemistry lab and my dad has his own real estate management company. From this class, I hope to learn about the process of entrepreneurship, an entrepreneur’s mindset and thinking, and how to become one.
Hey Jamie! You have a really cool entrepreneurship story! I am always interested to hear about young people that start their own business. It must have been really exciting to own a business and it fun to have a creative outlet. It seems like these products were very popular. I think its cool that you saw an opportunity and created a product that people demanded.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome that you started your own company while you were in high school. I think that the vans look good, very impressive that you did that by hand. I want to have this mindset too! Entrepreneurs have a fantastic concept of how to make things better. At some point in my life, I would like to start my own company, but I want to work in the business field to get an understanding before I take that risk.

ReplyDeleteYour entrepreneurship is cool because it's so creative and unique as it reflected something that you were so passionate about. The fact that you hand drew the designs on the vans (which are my favorite shoes) is awesome. Our stories are similar because they both involved selling shoes except you story has a creative twist to it. You also mentioned that your dad has a real estate management company, which is something that my mom is also heavily involved with.

Hey Jamie! I wish I had a knack for art like you. Those vans are sick!(especially the Gator ones) If you were able to do that in high school, I can't imagine what you'll do after college... You obviously have a creative and artistic mind so with the proper resources I am sure that the sky is the limit! I also am really interested in entrepreneurship and am hoping that this class will put me in the right direction as to the steps it takes to become one. Anyways, keep up the good work!
